WineArt Sutak 2023
Aragatsotn, Armenia ( 75 cL )
An Armenian natural red built around the depth of Karmrahyut and the freshness of Haghtanak.
Meaning “ruby” in Armenian, Sutak is a blend of Karmrahyut and Haghtanak, two indigenous varieties that give the wine a distinctly Armenian identity. The nose combines red and dark berries with wild flowers and a subtle peppery note. On the palate, it is soft and velvety, with gentle freshness and light tannins. A natural wine made without added sulphites, Sutak focuses on pure fruit expression and generous texture rather than sheer power.
WineArt Winery, founded by winemaker Tigran Avagyan, is a small Armenian producer focused on natural wines and indigenous grape varieties. Its vineyards are located in Aragatsotn, where vineyard work and harvesting are carried out largely by hand. The winery relies on spontaneous fermentation, minimal intervention and no added sulphites, combining traditional Armenian practices with a precise, fruit-driven approach.
