Château Marsyas B-Qā White 2019

Château Marsyas B-Qā White 2019

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon ( 75 cL )

The freshness of the Bekaa, shaped by stone and light.

A luminous, mineral white where ripe fruit meets incisive freshness and elegant depth.

The B-Qā White reveals another side of the Bekaa Valley: a high-altitude vineyard capable of combining ripeness with tension. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the estate’s younger vineyard plots, it opens with aromas of ripe pear, apple and citrus, followed by white flowers, apricot and a subtle touch of flint. On the palate, the fruit is generous yet precise, driven by bright acidity that keeps the wine remarkably fresh. As it opens in the glass, a more mineral and gently creamy dimension emerges, shaped by its barrel ageing, before extending into a long, saline and stony finish. A white with real character, it is equally at home with citrus-roasted fish, shellfish, herb-roasted poultry or vegetable dishes built around fresh spices.

Founded in 2005 by the Saadé family, Château Marsyas lies in the southern Bekaa Valley, at the foot of Mount Barouk. At around 900 metres above sea level, the vineyards benefit from a high-altitude Mediterranean climate in which cool nights preserve freshness despite the intensity of the Lebanese sun. Limestone soils, combined with precise and sustainable viticulture developed with the guidance of Stéphane Derenoncourt, produce wines that seek both finesse and concentration. B-Qā White comes from the estate’s younger vineyard plots, while sharing the same commitment to precision and terroir expression.
